I have about 0 time for even login in SL, not even talking about building viewers.

Also, if you guys look in this folder, there two last universal binary versions 1.19.2 and 1.23.5, please don't ask me for more, i can't support them, i don't have powerpc mac, i have no idea how they working on powerpc mac and i have no time and will to maintain programs for obsolete architecture. Please, don't ask me about powerpc builds again in future, because i will not do them anymore. Thanks for understanding.

Cool VL Viewer 1.25.0 (14) with display names support

With this first version (others will follow), the following is implemented/supported:
You can choose how the display names are used: either disabled entirely (only "legacy names" are displayed and new residents appear as " Resident"), or displayed as "Display Name [Legacy Name]", or entirely enabled (only the display names showing). Note that when an avatar doesn't have a display name, only their legacy name is displayed, whatever the setting.
The display names are used (when enabled) for the avatar names bubbles, for the avatar tooltips (including for the tooltips of the dots in the mini-map), in the local chat and in the avatar profiles (note that in the latter, display names are always followed with the [legacy name]: this is on purpose, of course).
You can change and reset your display name from the Display Name floater (open it via the "Edit" -> "Display Name..." menu item).

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW RESIDENTS:: to log in with the Cool VL Viewer (or any v1 of v2.0 to v2.2 viewer), you must put your registration name (user name) in the input box for the "Firstname" and "Resident" in the input box for the "Lastname", on the login screen.

Viewer related scene looking strange for me last months, like competition between LL and TPV, which i'm not sure is a right thing, because there should be more partnership and support to platform developer, instead of whining about how bad V2 is.
New viewer generation was a big investment for LL and as platform developer and service provider they trying to make it working well for anyone, thats where 3rd party developers can help, but problem is, there not much of help as it could be and as platform developer expected. Clinging on old and dropped 1.x framework is futureless, development (platform and client) can't be stopped, just because if it stopped it dead.
Get used to 2.x, guys, it is time to do.

New CameraConstraints patch: When DisableCameraConstraints is set to TRUE, this patch further disables the camera constraints: 1.- on the minimum zoom distance to avatars (and in particular their attachments). 2.- on the maximum zoom out distance, allowing it to equal the draw distance in all circumstances (used to be further limited by the sim width, i.e. 256m while the draw distance can go up to 512m). When the new CameraIgnoreCollisions debug setting is set to TRUE, it also disables the automatic move of the camera out of objects whenever it collides with them.

Updated Radar patch: this new version improves the avatar tracking feature (do not list the avatar name twice in the world map under the tracker dot, keep tracking when the radar update is set to off, and automatically stop tracking when the avatar goes/TPs away). Also, when an avatar goes away, its name is now listed in italics in the radar during the 10s grace period.

Updated VisitedLandmarks patch: this new version changes the icon in real time in the inventory (color changed from brown to red) whenever a landmark has been visited.
Updated RestrainedLove patch: this new version fixes the "Start Location" combo box manual editing (the viewer failed to log in at the manually entered locations with RestrainedLove v1.23d). See this post.

Updated CoolPreferences patch: adds a setting in the Miscellaneous sub-tab for the new CameraIgnoreCollisions feature.

Updated CPUhungrySearch patch: do not destroy the Search floater (only hide it) when teleporting from the Places search tab. Reminder: destroying the Search floater (via its close ("X") button) also destroys the built-in browsers (which eat up 100% of the CPU power under Linux and MacOS-X due to a bug in LL's proprietary llqtwebkit library) but also make you loose the search results. Toggling (hiding/showing) the Search floater doesn't loose the search results (but keeps your CPU loaded).

Updated SLPluginFixes patch: this new version allows to play more video formats and to get closer to what v1.23.5 is able to play (Snowglobe v1 based viewers are extremely buggy without this patch, when it comes to media plugins and video streams).

Based on Snowglobe 1.5, running rock stable for me and way faster then legacy 1.23.
Anyway, guys, there is it, imo worth to give it a try, intel only.
On this disk image also little patch tool, kudos Barney Boomslang, for voice and kdu stuff, but it should be run only after drag and drop viewer program in /Applications folder on your mac (it looking for Cool VL Viewer only in Applications).

P.S. i'm running mac os 10.6 on intel mac, that is my building and testing environment, i cant provide testing for 10.4, 10.5 mac oses and also i cant and wont spend my time for support power pc.

More then 3 years passed since apple moved on intel cpu's, time to say bye bye power pc.
I cant spend days for support platform, which now officially not supported even by vendor.
Guys who still on power pc, i can understand many issues, but it too much worthless time for me.
From now i'm going to build viewers for intel platform only.

Personally, i have now only intel with 10.5 and 10.6 installed, thats my build and test environment,
i can't test ppc anymore, also i can't test how binaries running on 10.4 either.

3) copy SLVoice libalut.dylib libllkdu.dylib libopenal.dylib libortp.dylib libvivoxsdk.dylib files from Contents/Resources folder to same folder in your emerald viewer.app
4) enjoy voice and raised video performance.

Updated OldTrackingDotsInMinimap patch: because of server/viewer messaging limitations, it is currently not possible to distinguish between an avatar at 0m of altitude from another above 1020m of altitude (they therefore both appear as "below you" in the mini-map). To work around this problem, the Cool SL Viewer now uses a different symbol (a small, horizontal bar) for such avatars.
Updated PrimBackup patch: the primitives now got their name and description saved and restored.

The changes are:
PrimBackup patch implemented: this code, borrowed from the Meerkat viewer, debugged and improved by Henri, allows to export and import objects (full perm objects only, and only the primitives and textures), allowing you to backup and restore them and/or to transfer them between grids. To export, right click on the object, select "More>" and "More>" again in the pie menu, then "Export". To Import, use the corresponding option in the File menu: Import (to restore on the same grid), or Import and Upload textures (to upload on another grid).
RestrainedLife updated to v1.19b. @rediremote wrongly redirected OOC (Out Of Character) chat (text starting and ending with double parenthesis, such as ((AFK, BRB)) or ((Safeword ! Please, don't do that to my avatar !))...). v1.19b prevents any redirection to happen with OOCs, even when both @redirchat and @rediremote active. This change will also be reflected into Marine's next patch version.
For v1.23.4.0: TeleportHistory updated (fixes a bug which made the Teleport button inactive in the Teleport History floater).
For v1.23.4.0: NoVoiceWarningSpam patch added: prevents the viewer from generating enormous log files on grids without voice support (OpenSim grids).

Improved oblong sculpties support. These sculpties are special in the way their sculpt map texture is not a square texture. They used to crash v1.19 and older viewers (fixed in the Cool SL Viewer v1.19.0.5 release 58) and since they are used to replace multi-primitives objects with a single primitive sculpted object, they need to be drawn at a higher level of details (fixed in v1.22 and v1.23 Cool SL Viewers, but please note that such sculpties still cannot be displayed properly in v1.19).

What was updated from r4 and r54:
Updated CoolSLViewerBranding patch (which also should solve the problem in v1.22 with wrong branding being advertised when re-using a settings.xml file from an older version), can save scripts present in inventory as Mono scripts (instead of LSL2), and add the corresponding setting to the Cool features tab of the Preferences floater.
RestrainedLife updated to v1.16f and fix an issue with caching of very small textures.
RestrainedLife v1.16f got the experimental @putinv command removed, but llGiveInventoryList(id, "#RLV/~some_folder", stuff) is still supported (the Keep/Discard/Mute dialog being however always presented to the user). This plugs the potential security issues associated with the previous @putinv implementations and gets closer to what Marine will implement in her own patch (but this feature should still be considered a preliminary implementation). Note that the redirection to the #RLV/ folder is only active after the RestrainedLifeAllowGiveToRLV debug setting is set to TRUE (else the #RLV/~some_folder is created in the inventory root folder).

They both got RestrainedLife updated to v1.16e, and the MUposeStyleAndOOCautoClose patch updated to v2.

Changes in RestrainedLife v1.16e:
fixed: removed the (undocumented) limitation that made it imposible to force-sit an avatar under @fartouch=n restriction (bug introduced in v1.16), as it breaks existing contents and is very disputable.
changed: @putinv now only accepts #RLV/~folder (the tilde prefix is mandatory) for items given via llGiveInventoryList(), and cannot be used by an item held into such a #RLV/~folder.

Changes in MUposeStyleAndOOCautoClose_v2:
Any text starting with ":" but less than 4 characters is not considered an emote any more (allows more smileys to go through untouched).
Any unclosed OOC text ending with a single parenthesis got a space appended before the closing double parenthesis is added (for example, typing: "((hello ! :-)" will show as "((hello ! :-) ))" instead of "((hello ! :-)))" with the previous version).

They allow to build flexible sculpties. BEWARE: flexible sculpties introduce a *lot* of lag on the viewer side: use sparsely !
Such prims can be seen in other viewers as well, but they introduce even more lag in them since they don't have the optimized code provided by the patch.
Note: this feature may not be keeped in future releases, depending on its impact on lag, and especially if a more elegant solution is not found (for now the viewer is transferring the sculpty texture data between the GPU and the CPU for every frame of animation).

* OldTrackingDotsInMinimap: reinstates the "old" (pre-v1.18.4) mini-map icons for "above" and "below" avatars. Fixes the VWR-2808 regression. Set the "UseOldTrackingDots" flag to TRUE, and restart the viewer to enable this feature.
* PanelOverlayHidableButtons (this patch is part of the RevertUIchanges one for v1.19): allows to optionnally hide the "Release Keys" button and the "Master Remote" volume slider. Implements the VWR-3087 feature. Set the "HideReleaseKeys" and "HideMasterRemote" flags to TRUE to enable this feature.
* PanelOverlayHidableButtons_RestrainedLife_addon: addon patch to apply when the RestrainedLife patch is also used (see below).
* ReinstateAltShowPhysical v2 (for v1.19.0.5 and older only): reinstates the "Alt Shows Physical" option in the View menu (this option was removed from voice viewers). The v2 patch yet does not force any more the "Alt shows physical" when in Edit mode. Fixes the VWR-2086 regression.
* ReinstateShowTextureUUID: reverts the "fix" for VWR-1919: security by opacity is a delusion: removing this feature would not prevent pirates to steal your textures, while it would prevent you to verify that some object has been textured with your own textures. And by the way, there are much better (much more efficient) ways for a pirate to steal the textures (by using the cached files, for example)...
* RReinstateStatusbarBandwidthAndPacketsLoss (for v1.19. This patch is part of the RevertUIchanges one for v1.20): gets rid of the search box in the status bar and reinstates the bandwidth and packets loss indicators. Fixes the VWR-3156 regression and fullfils VWR-3089.
* RememberMinimizedFloatersPosition: Fixes the VWR-5530 regression (minimized floaters not remembering their position).
* RevertUIchanges_v8: this (large) patch reinstates the "old" (pre-voice) UI and adds some more features:
- Features common to all versions:
-- The chat input line, Gestures combo and Say/Shout buttons are removed from the chat history floater (this feature can be disabled by setting "UseOldChatHistory" to FALSE and restarting the viewer).
-- The friends list and the groups list are back as separate floaters that can both be shown simultaneously. As a bonus the Groups list floater also remembers its size and position (just like the friends list always did).

This patch comes along with a zip file (slviewer-v11900-statusbar-artwork-patch.zip) which is to be uncompressed after the main artwork zip file: if you are using the make-SL v1.84 utility, this is done automatically.
* TeleportHistory_RestrainedLife_addon: addon patch to apply when both the RestrainedLife patch and the TeleportHistory patch are used (see below).
* CoolPreferences: for the v1.19 to v1.22 series of the Cool SL Viewers: it adds a "Cool features" tab to the Preferences panel and allows to switch on and off the various features of the Cool SL Viewer without having to use the geeky "Debug settings" (hey !... but I'm a geek !). 1) The Fastest Rendering Viewer in SL, and it's really quick both on start up and rendering in world even in laggy sims, the comments from users have ranged from 'wow' to 'bloody hell!' It uses a mixture of code from various viewers, bit of a hybrid really.
2) New UI skins, with clearer Fonts (and no licensing issues.)
3) Avatar Scanner - Scan up to 500 meters and across sim borders, brings up names and distance. Allows viewing of profiles and teleporting of friends.
4) Asset Browser - View every texture and photo in your inventory preview, or use the asset browser to apply the textures directly to builds via drag and drop.
5) More Prim manipulation different ways to cut prims in SL, and on opengrids micro and monster prim creation.
6) Some severe modification to what information is sent by the viewer when active - no sending of stats to a grid, such as FPS, Lang and version etc.
7) Modified network system viewerside.
8) Very low memory footprint runs much better on marginal hardware (older laptops) even runs on the Intel Atom-based Ultra Portables - Great for running multiple clients if needed.
9) Stable - Incorporated fixes that were either not used by Linden Lab or have come from sources not working directly on SL viewers such as RealXtend.

New patches and crash fixes. One new feature for v1.21 and v1.22 (not needed in v1.19) is the ability to remember the stats floater position and size over sessions.

All three versions also have new chat feature "OOC chat parenthesis auto-close" (can be disabled from the Cool features tab of the Preferences menu). E.g, while role-playing, when you want to speak Out Of Character (OOC), the convention is to enclose your OOC text between double parenthesis, like so "((phone call, BRB))". This new patch takes care of adding the closing "))" when they are missing, thus saving you some typing.
