Really sucks, I read what happened with the OpenSource Goons. GPL for the loss. :(
no, GPL is good, some people suck. Bashing developers just wrong.
So wait. Is there a link that discusses why she's bailed, what the issues were, and so on. Her viewer was the only stable SL I've had on my macbookpro for over a year. Does the demise of it really boil down to some GPL nazi stormtroopers? if so, then SL is toast for me. I can't get a decent viewer from LL, that's for sure.

Truly sad. That was the only viewer that would run even decently fast on my two year old (getting on toward three now) mini mac.
Its sad that some people have nothing better to do than kill something wonderful. But unfortunately, that's how the US works these days.

When a project where the author is not making any profit off her work is Nazistically attacked by members of a community that touts itself as "Developer Friendly" and like to consider themselves to be ideologically superior, then it's a loss.
Open Source zealots are no better than the big corporations they claim to fight.
Actually, the Cool Viewer has a very low framerate on my system. The Kirsten viewer was the only one which didn't noticeably lag in most sims.

Yacs there goes a great programmer from the Second life source code. what a mess, we were using for test and do machinima work and this whas the very best I saw.
Still loving the s16, great performance, better far away form the official or release candidate*grins; the stonehenge*.
